The Food

Chef Jethro provides an exquisite Asian fine dining experience, with a focus on Thai cuisine and beyond — with a contemporary twist. Drawing from the vibrant flavours of Southeast and East Asia, every menu is refined through classical technique and a deep respect for seasonal produce.

What distinguishes Jethro is his unique approach — highlighting the vibrant and bold flavours of Asian cuisine with 19 years of professional experience, including five years at the acclaimed Spirit House. Every menu is written personally and from scratch. There is no template, no shortcuts — just exceptional food crafted specifically for your evening.

Chef Jethro accommodates a wide variety of dietary needs and requirements. Please note that onion, garlic and shrimp (shellfish) are commonly used in this style of cuisine — however all dietary requirements can be discussed and accommodated when you enquire. Simply let us know at the time of booking.

This is an exclusive dining experience featuring chef-selected menus. There are no set alternatives — everyone receives the same menu unless they have specific dietary needs. Chef Jethro designs the menu personally based on the season, your occasion and any dietary requirements you share. The sample menus on each experience page give you a strong indication of the style and quality.

Booking & Service

Chef Jethro's calendar typically books 2–3 months in advance, particularly for weekend dates and peak seasons such as Christmas and Valentine's Day. We recommend enquiring as early as possible to secure your preferred date. Exceptions can sometimes be made for last-minute requests — don't hesitate to reach out and we'll do our best to accommodate you.

Chef Jethro caters to a diverse range of events — including anniversary dinners for couples, dinner parties, milestone birthdays, corporate functions, hens parties and more. If you have a specific occasion in mind, simply get in touch and we'll find the right experience for you.

To reserve your experience, simply fill out the enquiry form with your preferred event date, number of guests, location and the experience you're interested in. Chef Jethro will respond personally within 24 hours to confirm availability. To secure your booking, a deposit of 25% is required within 48 hours of confirmation.

Typically it's just Chef Jethro handling everything — cooking, plating and serving each course with care. For larger groups or those wanting a more formal restaurant-style experience, professional waitstaff can be arranged as an optional enhancement. Simply mention this when you enquire and it can be included in your quote.

Chef Jethro services from Gympie and Noosa, across the Sunshine Coast, through Brisbane's CBD and surrounding areas, as well as the Gold Coast and beyond. He is willing to travel greater distances for larger groups — just reach out to discuss your location.

Yes — Chef Jethro regularly caters for larger groups and can scale the experience accordingly. For groups of 15 or more, additional logistics such as waitstaff or equipment may be discussed at the time of enquiry. Simply reach out and we'll put together the right package for your occasion.

On the Night

Chef Jethro arrives with everything needed for the evening — all ingredients sourced fresh that day, cooking equipment, crockery and serving ware. Your kitchen simply becomes his workspace. He sets up, cooks, plates each course, serves and leaves the space completely spotless.

Beverage service is not included as standard, however Chef Jethro is happy to provide wine pairing recommendations to complement your menu. Guests are welcome to supply their own drinks, and we can advise on what pairs beautifully with each course upon request.

The full in-home experience runs approximately 5 hours from Chef Jethro's arrival to clean-down. The dining itself is paced at a relaxed, unhurried rhythm — allowing you to fully enjoy each course and the conversation between them.

Very little. Chef Jethro will discuss any specific requirements with you prior to the evening. On the night itself, your only responsibility is to be present and enjoy the experience. He handles everything else — setup, cooking, service and cleanup.

Everything you need to know about hiring a private chef in Queensland. Copedo Culinary Experience offers bespoke in-home dining across Brisbane, Noosa, the Sunshine Coast and the Gold Coast — led personally by Chef Jethro Copedo, with 19 years of professional culinary experience.

How much does a private chef cost in Queensland?

Copedo Culinary Experience offers four experiences starting from $155 per person for the Shared Dining Experience (minimum 12 guests), $170 per person for the Four Course Tasting Menu (minimum 8 guests), $205 per person for the Six Course Degustation (minimum 4 guests), and $820 per couple for the Romantic Dinner for Two. All pricing includes fresh ingredients, equipment, crockery, service and full kitchen cleanup.

What is included in a private chef experience?

When you book Copedo Culinary Experience, Chef Jethro handles everything from start to finish — fresh ingredient sourcing, all cooking equipment and crockery, full service of every course, and complete kitchen cleanup at the end of the evening. You simply enjoy the experience without lifting a finger.

Is a private chef worth it for a special occasion?

There is no travel, no waiting for tables, no noise, and the menu is designed entirely around you and your guests. Can a private chef cater for dietary requirements?

Yes. Chef Jethro accommodates a wide range of dietary requirements including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and common allergies. All dietary needs are discussed at the time of booking and incorporated into your bespoke menu. Simply include your requirements in your enquiry and Chef Jethro will confirm how they can be accommodated.

How far does Chef Jethro travel?

Chef Jethro is based on the Sunshine Coast and services the full South East Queensland corridor — from Gympie and Noosa in the north, through the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane, to the Gold Coast in the south. Travel within 30km of Caloundra is complimentary. A $100 travel fee applies to Noosa and a $200 fee to the Gold Coast.
